For the last few years, each birthday I take myself on a date to my fave breakfast spot in New York, sit at the same window, listen to the same song and journal about the year that has passed. I believe in the importance of ritual and traditions, and creating meaningful moments for yourself, and this is one of mine.

Everything has happened so quickly this last year, and I am incredibly grateful for all of it – even the challenging and painful parts, which always end up being the greatest lessons wrapped up in the most unexpected of packages.

Some major lessons I’ve embraced this past year include training my mind and body to have trust and faith during times of uncertainty – because a scarcity state will not result in abundance.

I’ve learned to take time before thinking I know someone, because consistency of integrity and values is revealing of truth. Actions and patterns express what’s really going on in the subconscious mind.

I’ve realized that some of the best things have come by not overthinking and saying yes. Rigidity and being overly controlling is just masked fear – and in fear there is little to no space for magic or expansion to happen.

I’ve discovered the power of energy and how a slight internal shift can cause significant external changes. Manifestation works – and I’d be happy to tell share with you what has worked for me.

And most importantly, I’ve opened up my heart after decades of it being guarded behind defense mechanisms and walls of fear, and now embrace that I am love and abundance. Everything is as it should be, and it is perfect.

To all of the people who have been a part of my journey this last year, thank you.
